Instructor Bio

Tammie Cecil

Since 2019 Tammie has been helping the new shooter become comfortable with firearms. Tammie understands how to teach women because she understands how women learn. She will also teach open-minded men! Tammie specializes in training her students to be their own protectors. Her passion for firearms carries over into her classes. She believes that every person has the right to protect themselves. She works out of several locations including Fredericksburg and Culpeper.

Tammie has taught hundreds of students to be their own protectors. Tammie provides all the instruction and is passionate about making people feel more confident with their firearms. Tammie's business inspiration comes from 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Range Safety Officer Certification

We teach students the skills necessary to become a range safety officer. Check our class listing for details.

Refuse To Be A Victim

We teach a non-firearms class that teaches situational awareness and how to not be a victim of a crime.

Personal Security and Home Defense

We teach this non-firearm USCCA class to help you develop a situational awareness plan and a home defense plan.

Real Estate Safety and Self Defense

We teach this non-firearm class to educate Real Estate Agents to protect themselves in the course of their job.

First Aid CPR/AED

We teach First Aid CPR/AED classes to certify or recertify students.

Legal Use of Force

This class will cover legal use of force. We will discuss reasonable force, deadly force and how the prosecutor will evaluate your force. We will end with a discussion on the defense of your home and property. This is a must have course for anyone who carries a firearm!

Violent Encounters and the Aftermath

This class explains what physical and mental reactions may occur when a human undergoes extreme stress, such as during an incident involving deadly force. It also explains what you should do immediately after using force to defend yourself. Also, when law enforcement arrives, it is crucial that you conduct yourself in the correct manner and prepare yourself for the consequences, even when you are in the right.

USCCA First Aid Fundamentals

This class teaches a variety of first aid. You will learn how to apply a tourniquet, apply a chest seal, care for a burn, splint a bone, set up triage and many other lifesaving skills.

Got Your License ... Now What?

You have your concealed carry permit. Now what? This class will cover implications of being armed in public, staying safe by avoiding danger, pre-threat indicators, de-escalation and using force. This class will be an eye opener for permit holders. Follow up this class with my Use of Force, Violent Encounters and the Aftermath and Situational Awareness.
